Avoid those 'Get Rich Quick' Home Business Scams

At the dawn of the new millennium we find ourselves in a completely new economic landscape where having a work from home business may be the only way to avoid starving! Companies are eliminating benefits left and right, forcing employees to shell out a larger amount of their income for the same standard of living. In an effort to lower costs and remain competitive in a global marketplace, the corporations are increasingly relying on outsourcing and even plant/operations relocation at the expense of the domestic workforce.

Purchasing power diminishes by the year as income growth stagnates and inflationary pressures in the energy and food markets combine to ultimately lead to a lower standard of living for the first time in living memory. And so it gets harder and harder for the average person to get ahead, especially when working for the very greedy corporations causing half the mess! In the end, the best way to contend with the forces of globalization is honestly to start a work from home business. There are five reasons why 2008 is the perfect year:

1.  Little to No Income Growth Expected in Foreseeable Future
2.  Small, Innovative Companies Do Great In Global Economy
3.  Interest Rates
4.  Never Been More Opportunities
5.  You Are In Control of Your Own Financial Future

Corporations won't be handing out any significant wage increases for Western workers again until they no longer have any cheaper sources of labor to exploit. And we can't expect the forces of globalization to disappear any time soon--in fact, they will likely intensify and make things progressively more difficult for Western workers in the near future. With the availability of skilled workers increasing in low-wage nations, so too is the competition for every single job out there.

This makes it easier and easier for the corporations to pay lower wages via outsourcing or even relocating entire facilities. No matter how much more productive we become, our wages have essentially flat-lined. Identifying and then operating profitable work from home business opportunities is the best way to supplement your income and significantly enhance lifestyle in this competitive world market.

Believe it or not, small work from home businesses with a solid core and the capacity to rapidly adapt will thrive in the quick-paced, niche driven global market. This increased competition is causing a wave of mergers and acquisitions as corporations try dominating their markets through sheer size.  In return, this has also created thousands of opportunities for small businesses. The biggest percentage of new job growth in the U.S. and many other industrialized nations comes from the small business sector and this trend will continue as globalization intensifies and corporations continue to cut staff.

Companies have literally eliminated employees and outsourced thier jobs only to rehire those same people as vendors operating their own small business--doing the very same job they lost in the first place! Small business owners with a solid foundation and the ability to adapt will be one of the few groups to benefit from globalization.

To help get a small business opportunity off the ground and functioning, a capital infusion of some proportion will be necessary. Interest rates will tend to be lower during harder economic times, meaning small business owners with good credit can get their hands on cheap capital for start-up and operating costs. 2008 should be a good year for anyone with a sound business plan, decent credit, and some initiative to go out there and secure the capital they need to start a work from home business.

Millions of small business opportunities will be created in the coming years because of outsourcing--and the Internet. Ideally, you want to locate and exploit the opportunities while avoiding the scams like the plague.  This is certainly easier said than done. Right now, there are definitely more small business opportunities than ever before--the challenge is sorting them out from the scams!

In these turbulent economic times, having a work from home business to at least secure additional income has become a near necessity. Unless you want to work in the service industry, globalization may soon force us all to start some form of small business. However, as with any business, most work from home business opportunities will eventually fail.

It takes dedication, commitment, and hard work to make a work from home business blossom. Bad timing or shifting market conditions can still cause established businesses to fail. And yet there has never been more legitimate work from home opportunities nor a better time to start one.  You just need to locate the legitimate opportunities and avoid those "get-rich-quick" scams!
